Ten years after the Raccoon City disaster, Chris Redfield is now an agent of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. He is sent to the fictional African region of Kijuju to stop an illegal bioweapons deal, where he partners with local BSAA agent Sheva Alomar.
What begins as an arrest mission turns into a fight for survival as the locals are transformed by the Las Plagas parasite. The trail leads Chris toward the truth behind the disappearance of his old partner Jill Valentine, and a final showdown with Albert Wesker.
Resident Evil 5 was built for co-op from the ground up. Every moment of the campaign can be played with a friend, split-screen on the same console or online, with players sharing ammo, covering each other and reviving their partner. The Mercenaries, a timed score-attack mode, adds hours of replay value.
