Borderlands 2 returns to Pandora five years after the first game. The Hyperion Corporation and its charismatic, hilarious and completely unhinged CEO Handsome Jack have taken control of the planet, and a new group of Vault Hunters arrives hoping to claim the treasure buried beneath its surface. Jack has other plans, and leaves them for dead in a frozen wasteland.
Rescued by the battered little robot Claptrap, the Vault Hunters join the resistance in the city of Sanctuary alongside familiar faces from the original game, including Roland, Lilith, Mordecai and Brick. From there the campaign sprawls across glaciers, deserts, industrial wastelands and Hyperion's gleaming Opportunity, with an unforgettable cast that includes the explosive-obsessed Tiny Tina.
Borderlands 2 is built around guns, and it has an almost endless supply of them. Weapons are randomly generated from manufacturer parts, so every chest and fallen enemy can drop something new, from sniper rifles that set enemies on fire to shotguns you throw like grenades when they run dry. Four classes, each with three skill trees, let every player build their Vault Hunter differently, and the game scales seamlessly from solo play to four-player online co-op or two-player split-screen on the same couch.
