Call of Duty: Black Ops follows Alex Mason, a CIA operative strapped to a chair and interrogated about a series of numbers broadcasting from an unknown source. Through his fragmented memories, players relive covert operations across the Cold War, from the Bay of Pigs and a breakout from the Vorkuta gulag to the jungles of Vietnam.
With the help of fellow prisoner Viktor Reznov, Mason pieces together a plot involving a deadly nerve gas called Nova 6 and a sleeper agent program, building to one of the most memorable twists in the series.
Black Ops is a Zombies classic. Kino der Toten, Ascension, Call of the Dead and the White House map Five are still fan favorites, playable with up to four friends. Multiplayer introduced COD Points, Wager Matches and a theater mode, and remains one of the most loved entries in the franchise.
