Battlefield 3's campaign is told through the interrogation of Staff Sergeant Henry Blackburn, a U.S. Marine being questioned about a terrorist plot. Through his flashbacks, players relive a mission that starts with a routine operation near the Iran-Iraq border and spirals into a race to stop a group of militants from detonating stolen nuclear weapons.
The story jumps between Blackburn's squad, a tank crew, a fighter jet weapons officer and a Russian special forces operative, traveling from the streets of Tehran to the rooftops of Paris and the subways of New York City as the trail of the mysterious Solomon closes in.
Battlefield 3 made its name in multiplayer. Players choose between assault, engineer, support and recon classes and fight across large maps with tanks, jets, helicopters and boats, where buildings and cover crumble under fire. Conquest and Rush became fan favorites, and the squad system rewards teams that play together. The Xbox 360 version comes on two discs, one for the campaign and one for multiplayer and co-op.
