Assassin's Creed II introduces Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a charming young nobleman in 15th century Florence. When his father and brothers are betrayed and executed, Ezio escapes with his mother and sister and swears revenge on the men responsible.
His quest takes him from Florence to the Tuscan countryside and the canals of Venice, where he learns the ways of the Assassins and uncovers a Templar conspiracy led by Rodrigo Borgia. Meanwhile, Desmond Miles escapes Abstergo and continues reliving Ezio's memories to train for a war in the present day.
Assassin's Creed II expanded on the original in every direction: more weapons, Leonardo da Vinci's inventions including a flying machine, a villa you can upgrade, hidden tombs to explore and a story that follows Ezio from his teens into his forties. It is the start of the beloved Ezio trilogy.
